The British University in Dubai (BUiD) (Arabic: الجامعة البريطانية في دبي) is a research-based, non-profit institution in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Founded in 2003 by the country's Vice President and Prime Minister Maktoum bin Rashid al-Maktoum, it is licensed by the UAE's Ministry of Education's Higher Education Affairs and all its programmes are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). Do you need to choose a major before choosing a college?

No. In most cases, you’ll have plenty of time to choose a major. Most colleges don’t require students to declare a major until the end of their sophomore year, and many students change their major at least once. Some majors, especially in science and engineering, require more specific coursework, so students often need to declare their major a bit earlier.
